Stainless Steel Wire Rope

Deacon Wire stocks an extensive range of stainless steel wire rope cable generally from 1mm diameter to 26mm diameter in a variety of constructions. AISI316 marine grade makes this wire suitable for many diverse applications and use in some of the harshest environments including nuclear and sewerage.

Together with our extensive in house knowledge we are able to design and produce bespoke wire rope assemblies that meet our customers exacting requirements which, where applicable, can be supplied tested and certified using our very latest test equipment.

As well as being used for all our in house slings and assemblies these wire rope cables can also be supplied in bulk on wooden reels or coiled and packaged to suit individual needs.

PVC & Nylon Coated wire ropes are also available – please contact our sales team for more information.

Constructions

7×7 (WSC)
Supplied with a stainless steel wire strand core this versatile construction has reasonable flexibility in small cord diameters and is mainly supplied in 1mm to 8mm. Typically being used as a general purpose construction this makes it ideally suited for marine rigging, guard rails, lanyards and suspension cables to name a few.

7×19 (WSC)
Supplied with a stainless steel wire strand core this general engineering construction has greater flexibility whilst still maintaining a good breaking strain. Typically supplied from 2.5mm up to 16mm diameter it makes this construction ideally suited for marine rigging, winching and safety applications.

1×19 Strand
Supplied as strand construction this has the least flexibility when compared to the above constructions but offers greater strength in comparison. Typically used as a control cable in small cord diameters but in larger diameters up to 16mm it is also used as guard rails, barrier cable and balustrading. This is most commonly used as rigging in the marine industry.

6×36 (IWRC)
Supplied with an independent stainless steel wire rope core this general engineering construction is available from 8mm to 22mm diameter offering greater flexibility at these larger sizes whilst still maintaining a good breaking strain. Typically used in the marine and lifting industries.
